Well, my name isn't Gachnar, it's actually Steve.

Gachnar is a fictional character created by Joss Whedon.
Gachnar lived in some hell dimension, and a frat house in Sunnydale (which is probably a different type of hell dimension)
Gachnar appeared in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (episode 4.4 'Fear Itself').
He was a 6 inch tall fear demon who made people live their nightmares.
(If you miss the cheesy front page with him on it, it's here. That's him in all his six inch glory.)
The rather satanic looking logo is a recreation for the circle which summoned Gachnar.

Steve is a late 20s an early 30s guy who lives in the Northwest with his wife and cat and dog.
Steve works for a software company doing something classified as "management." Yes, I am "the man" and I am keeping you down.
Maybe I'll add more about things I like later. But to sum up, I enjoy playing golf, running, biking, skiing and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy photography, watching movies and TV, and reading. I like steak, and I like alcohol.
I'm also a rather sarcastic bastard.

I'd love to say that the website is a reference to how we often let the idea of the things we fear become much bigger than they really are and then when we confront them we find they aren't that big after all.

But it's not, I'm not that deep I'm afraid. If you are, there are classes you can take to discuss it with like minded people.

Other's might think this site is some freudian allusion to a feeling of sexual inadequency. Sorry to disappoint.

Truth is I'm just a Buffy fan who found the episode humorous and thought "hey there's a 7 letter domain name that's available and I can remember!"
Not very exciting huh?

Gachnar.com doesn't serve any real purpose, I just use it to test out some projects, learn new things, share photos, store some files, and of course to spew random thoughts into the ether.

This site is not affiliated in any way with Mutant Enemy or Joss Whedon. I just borrowed a name from a two bit character for a non-profit site, please don't sue me Joss.
